Railroad lines flank the route - except comparatively short sections in the Bauland region. The orientation along the course of the S-Bahn makes it possible to change from the bike path to the train at any time along the entire route. Therefore, the 226-kilometer core route between Lambrecht and Osterburken can easily be cycled in stages without tiresome back-and-forth travel spoiling the joy of discovery. Two loops complete the Kurpfalz axis and open up interesting landscapes off the main route.
