The core task of Heidelberg Marketing GmbH is to market the city of Heidelberg nationally and internationally and to position it clearly as a global brand in selected fields. Central areas are tourism and congresses as well as science, economy, culture, events and retail.
The marketing of the three ongoing Heidelberg lighthouse projects is an important element of the city's marketing. These projects include, above all, the newly emerging Heidelberg conference center, which will officially open in 2023, the Heidelberg city hall, which is under renovation until its reopening in 2023, and the large sports hall, the SNP dome, which has been in operation since 2021.
Heidelberg Marketing GmbH also maintains three tourist information centers as a central point of contact for guests from all over the world in Neckarstadt. Heidelberg experts provide competent and personal information and advice at Heidelberg Central Station, Neckarmünzplatz and in the city hall.
Organized under commercial law as a limited liability company, Heidelberg Marketing GmbH, founded in 2007, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the City of Heidelberg.
