The Festival of the UNESCO City of Literature Heidelberg

The traditional-rich literature festival of the UNESCO City of Literature has been one of the highlights of cultural life in Heidelberg since 1994. It is characterized by the variety of literary approaches and formats it offers its audiences of all ages.
This year, renowned German-language and international authors will once again be guests in the Spiegelzelt (mirror tent) on Universitätsplatz (University Square) in the heart of Heidelberg's Altstadt (Old Town).
There will also be workshops, literary City Tours, late-nights, live audio plays, slam poetry, the public “Lesewohnzimmer” (reading living room) from StadtLesen, the workshop of the Buchkinder Leipzig, food by changing food trucks and much more. Many events and activities are continuously accessible and often free of charge.
