Neckarmünzplatz is located on the banks of the Neckar in Heidelberg's old town.
At the bus terminal, which is about fifty meters long, up to three coaches can have passengers boarding or alighting at the same time. The approach is usually from the west, the departure exclusively in the eastern direction.
Historically, the square had an important significance as a rafting site directly below the Heidelberg mills.
Since November 2015, the new Tourist Information at Neckarmünzplatz has been open to providing a professional and high-quality service to guests arriving there.
