Heidelberg Wine Village

A Celebration of Wine in the Heart of the Old Town

Visit Heidelberg Wine Village from October 1 to 18, 2026 - We look forward to seeing you!

The Heidelberg Wine Village is the perfect opportunity to discover not only the city’s famous sights, but also the culinary delights Heidelberg has to offer.

Winegrowing in Heidelberg has a centuries-old tradition. Thanks to its mild climate and sun-kissed slopes, Heidelberg provides ideal conditions for vines to thrive and produce high-quality wines.

Enjoy a fine selection of wines and a variety of regional specialties in the heart of the Old Town. Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of history, tradition and romance, surrounded by a warm and convivial ambiance. On selected days, a live music program provides additional entertainment.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Our tip: If you’d like to take some Heidelberg wine home or give it as a gift, the gift set “Heidelberger Dreiklang” wine set is available again this year.

Getting There

The Heidelberg Wine Village is located in the heart of Heidelberg’s Old Town. While the location is particularly picturesque, parking spaces are limited. Especially in the evenings and at weekends, finding a parking space around the Old Town can be challenging.

We therefore recommend travelling by public transport. The Wine Village is easy to reach via Heidelberg-Altstadt train station. From there, it is just a short walk towards Karlsplatz and the Old Town.

Alternatively, you can reach the event area by bus or train from Heidelberg Central Station or Bismarckplatz.

If you are travelling by car, we recommend checking the current availability of parking garages in advance and, if necessary, using parking facilities outside the Old Town or Park & Ride options. Up-to-date information on available parking spaces can be found on the City of Heidelberg’s parking garage website: www.parken.heidelberg.de
