From the main station of Heidelberg you can easily reach
the Backmulde by taxi. You can also take the bus, line 31
(direction university square), getting off at the
stop "Kongresshaus".
You can reach Heidelberg on the highway A5 (drive to
the intersection Heidelberg) or on the A6 (intersection
Mannheim). At the intersection turn onto the BAB A656,
direction Heidelberg, and go on to the end of the
highway. Follow the red signs of the hotel route A. Now
drive along the Neckar on the B37, direction Eberbach.
After you have passed under two bridges, you'll reach the
town hall (a huge building of sand stone on the right
side). Now follow the parking-sign P8 and turn right.
After about 20m turn left, then follow the street and
afterwards turn right into the Schiffgasse (second street
on the right side). You are allowed to drive into the one
way street on the opposite way, up to the parking lots of
the Backmulde.
From the airport Frankfurt/Main there's a Lufthansa
shuttle service to Heidelberg once an hour. This bus
stops at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Heidelberg. From
there on, you can reach the Backmulde by taxi.
