The lower funicular railway starts at Kornmarkt and runs via Heidelberg Castle station as far as Molkenkur. From there you can continue with one of the oldest electric funicular railways to the city's highest point, the Königstuhl.
...that the lower and upper funicular will not be running from January 7 to April 7, 2019.
Between January and April 2019, the Heidelberg funicular railway will be undergoing its annual inspection. During this time, a bus will be running every 30 minutes between the Kornmarkt station (Rathaus/Bergbahn) via the castle to the Molkenkur station. You can reach the Königstuhl by bus number 39 from Bismarckplatz.
Both funiculars (Kornmarkt - Schloss - Molkenkur - Königstuhl): Adults €12, discounted €10 (return ticket on lower funicular incl. entry to the Castle grounds, the wine barrel and the German Pharmacy Museum)
