Heidelberg Carnival Parade

With almost 120,000 visitors, the Heidelberg carnival parade is not only one of the largest in the area; it is also one of the oldest in Germany. The carnival parade in Heidelberg dates back to 1848. Even then, carnival was celebrated in Heidelberg on Shrove Tuesday.

This year the parade starts on February 25, 2020 at 2:11 pm

The parade starts in Bergheimer Straße and runs from there over the Bismarckplatz along Hauptstraße to the Market Square. There you can celebrate with food and drinks and for the little ones there is a merry-go-round.
