Heidelberg Carnival Parade

Every year over 100,000 visitors visit the Heidelberg Carnival Parade.

The Kurpfälzer Fastnacht is celebrated in almost all communities in the Electoral Palatinate.
Along with Mannheim and Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg is one of the strongholds and with the parade, which has been carried out since 1848, organizes one of the oldest carnival parades in Germany.
The Heidelberg Carnival and the Carnival Parade are carried out by the Heidelberg associations in the umbrella organization, the Heidelberg Carnival Committee 1952 e.V. (HKK).
The clubs in Heidelberg are organized in the Association of Badisch-Palatinate Carnival Associations and the Bund Deutscher Karneval (BDK).
