Weststadt

Weststadt is an outstanding testimony to urban development from the Wilhelmine imperial era and is always worth taking an extended walk.

Here you can marvel at villas with generous green spaces and Wilhelminian-style buildings that make Heidelberg-Weststadt one of the most beautiful and popular districts in Heidelberg. The center of the district and meeting place for many residents is the Wilhelmsplatz at the Bonifatius Church. It is the site of the weekly market and, since 1973, of the annual Weststadt Festival organized by the district association. Since 2012, Weststadt as a whole has been listed as a historical monument.
