The Heidelberger Frühling (Heidelberg Spring Music Festival) plays "in the first league of festivals for classical music" (DIE ZEIT) and presents in over 100 events major soloists, ensembles and orchestras, as well as innovative productions and genre crossings. Piano aficionados can listen to András Schiff, Grigory Sokolov, Rudolf Buchbinder and Igor Levit, among others. Not only is Levit soloist with the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, but also director of the Chamber Music Academy and will appear at the chamber music weekend Standpunkte. Other guests include Anna Prohaska, Jean-Guihen Queyras and Sol Gabetta as well as Jörg Widmann with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
