It's the place where Goethe fell in love again in his old age, a place left in ruins by the troops of the French Sun King, and a place declared by poets and philosophers to be the symbol of romanticism – and now you can tie the knot at this unique location from February 2009. Heidelberg Registry Office, the castle management and Heidelberg Marketing GmbH have worked together to offer the possibility of getting married in Heidelberg Castle.

The marriage can only be booked for fixed dates through Heidelberg Marketing GmbH. The reservation has to be made at least 6 weeks before the date of marriage.
The reservation for a civil marriage at Heidelberg Castle costs 355.00 € and is linked to the booking of a gastronomic offer of the castle caterer (at least 15 people).
- Sparkling wine reception with finger food (canapés): Price per person: 22.00 €
- Champagne reception with finger food (canapés): Price per person: 35.00 €
Buffet with coffee and cake and meals can be booked on request.
If desired the reception can be held at the Backhaus Terrace. Rental price for the terrace: 150.00 €

Accommodation of the wedding party
Make use of our free service – we gladly book suitable accommodation in Heidelberg’s hotels. If you have a website for the wedding it is possible to install a booking link there. Your guests can then book their preferred hotel quick and easily.

Of course, there are also still many appointments for civil wedding ceremonies in the historic wedding chamber of Heidelberg Town Hall. For the celebrations there are many different restaurateurs around the marketplace in Heidelberg Old Town who are always pleased to welcome and cater for wedding parties.
